The Pet Groomer provides top-notch dog and cat grooming services in a modern salon in Ħal Għaxaq. Led by the skilled and IEAA-trained groomer, Ramon Bonnici, who boasts years of experience in the field, the salon guarantees exceptional care for your furry friends.

Understanding that pets may feel anxious during their initial grooming sessions, Ramon excels in handling even the most challenging cases, ensuring your pet's comfort and grooming perfection. Clients are welcome to observe the grooming process at the salon.

Offering competitive rates for all breeds, The Pet Groomer caters to various grooming needs, from baths and nail trims to haircuts and indulgent pampering sessions. Utilizing professional products, the salon prioritizes your pet's coat and fur care.

Introducing Puppies

If you have just adopted a puppy, it is best to introduce them to grooming as young as possible. Starting from 12 weeks onwards they can enjoy a lifetime of enjoyable grooming sessions. The earlier they are introduced to grooming, the fastest they will adapt to it.

Our prices vary for haircuts, size, breed, and behaviour of your dog and are confirmed after the consultation with the owner at salon.

Cats

The first visit

Depending on the breed, our grooming services are tailored to the needs of each individual cat. Our sessions start with a consultation with the owner where we assess the cat’s fitness for grooming. Here we discuss the health, behaviour, and your requests to ensure the best grooming solution for your cat.

• Cleaning of fur using professional dry mousse, dry shampoo, or powder.

We do not bath cats because they do not like water and the noise from the hairdryer; however, if the owner specifically requests it and knows that the cat would be comfortable, we will accommodate.

Price varies depending on the condition of its coat and temperament.

Terms & Conditions

At the Pet Groomer we are willing to take the time to answer all your questions about our services and discuss the best options for the wellbeing of your pet. There are some terms and conditions that you need to be aware of.

By using our services, owners confirm that:

1. their pet is up to date with their annual vaccinations

2. they agree to hold The Pet Groomer harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the dog, either known or unknown to us.

3. they understand that a grooming session can be stressful for some pets, especially for senior (over 9 years), overweight or those with medical concerns. In the best interest of your pet, in these cases, the owner is required to stay at the salon during the session.

4. in case of emergency, they give permission to The Pet Groomer to seek emergency veterinary treatment if they deem it necessary for whatever reason. Unless we are deemed to be negligent all medical expenses are the responsibility of the owner.

The owners should inform The Pet Groomer about known aggressive behaviour traits of their pet, coat, health and medical conditions including any ticks or fleas that the pet in known to have.

De-matting

Matting is when the fur of your pet gets tangled and knotted. This causes discomfort for your pet as the matts pull ​tightly on the skin and it is painful. It also can lead to other health concerns such as infections or skin irritations. ​Prolonged ‘de-matting’ at the groomer can be painful and detrimental to the welfare of the pet. Therefore, the best ​choice for severe matting is shaving the coat. The owner is required to stay with the pet during the session. ​Remember that a good grooming routine is essential for the well-being of your pet to prevent matting and we will be​ happy to a suggest grooming programme at our salon to ensure optimum health and coat for your pet. ​

Time​

The Pet Groomer works to a strict time frame. During the grooming session, your pet will receive one to one care in​ a safe environment; however, you are expected to arrive at your given appointment time. If you are late, your​ appointment may be cancelled or postponed. ​m​ay be cancelled or postponed.
